Ron Paul and Rick Santorum think the State should police women’s bodies — Is that “conservative” or libertarian? I think notIf the State has the power to supervise what we do with our bodies, then the State is all-powerful — we are not free, and anyone who advocates for such awesome State power is not rightly a “conservative” or a libertarian. If you support such people, you are not “conservative” or libertarian. You are a theocrat — someone who wishes to see their religious views enacted into law, as the Muslims do. Should we go to jail if we use condoms? Contraceptives of other types? —- You probably don’t believe in such nonsense —- But your candidates say they do. Santorum thinks man will marry dog if we allow civil unions — what a wackoid he is. Is it better to have a religious-governed nation, or is it better to have a secular nation? Would your answer change if the governing religion was not your own?
