Joseph Sobran says in a column on his website: Bush’s legacy may be summed up in an old quip: “You can fool all of the people some of the time, and you can fool some of the people all of the time, and those are pretty good odds.” I’m surprised at the sharpness of Sobran’s attack on Bush and his legacy. I know a lot of conservatives are disappointed in Bush, but it’s still surprising when the attacks are so sharp and clear.

Given the sordid trail of lies spewed by President Bush and his comrades to justify the virtually unlimited expansion of the national government, I would be surprised if Joseph Sobran would have said anything else.
