Over at DailyKos, a diarist has collected some of the most sadistic unAmerican lunatic comments by the nutcases that entertain and inform their right wing audiences.

I wouldn’t be too proud if I were a fan of any of these “great thinkers”. They persuade no one. They preach to the uninformed and closed minded, who give them credibility because they are prominent and “on the TV or radio”.

Every time I hear about the nutcases questioning the patriotism of those with whom they disagree, I remember that I am an honorably discharged Navy veteran who traces his lineage back to Lt. Jabez Parsons, a Revolutionary War soldier.

Correct me if I am wrong, but Limbaugh-Hannity-Coulter did not serve their country through honorable military service. I don’t think Jerry Falwell served either.

I COULD argue that I have earned the right to criticize government policy much more than any of them, because I have served my country honorably.

But I do NOT question their patriotism just because they didn’t serve.

However, I DO question their commitment to American ideals because they are so very willing to demonize others just for daring to disagree.
