A Republican Representative write an interesting note about how the Republicans forget that the Pope was consistent in his anti-killing agenda, unlike the Republican Party. Also, he points out the change from history: Historically, governments and religion have been at odds, due to mutual fear. But not any more, in the USA at least. We have so much intermixing of religion and government that the official government of the USA no longer sees religion as a threat.

Hi Tim, I was real happy to stumble across your blog. I will have to come back when I am not so tired to read some more. I started blogging in January as a way of fighting back against what has been happening in this country. My husband and I are middled-aged with grown kids. We want there to be something left after “the boy in the boots” finally departs D.C.
I am very concerned about the massive use of propaganda and can’t understand why so many people seem almost eager to believe everything without question. The media must be drugged or something. Seems kind of like the situation in Germany during Hitler’s rise to power.
I got sick of seeing and hearing about the Pope on TV. I thought the administration and the media milked his death to death. Bush’s intention was to solidify the Catholic vote.
He played as if he had been in agreement with the Pope when in fact he was not and never had been in the first place. CNN ate it up!
I am also very concerned about the separation of church and state as I have been, since birth, a non-believer and see no reason why religion should be forced on anyone. As a child, in Michigan, I was made to stand outside the door of the classroom everyday with my nose to the wall for about two months. I was punished by my fourth grade teacher (who did a two-hour sermon every morning) because I would not pray. This was back in 59/60. It can and will happen again.I think if even a little bit of what is said about Jesus was true and he were alive today, he would not be a Christian!
Hopefully, I will be able to get back and read more real soon…(the stuff on Dobson for instance). There are many things you’ve posted that I want to know.I usually post once or twice a week and have been dedicated to writing the blog even though writing is not easy for me. I write The Dishpan Chronicles….named thus for how I have spent much of my life, however, mindless tasks are great inspiration for thinking other thoughts……
I am glad you are out there, KWW

Dear Kitchen Window Woman:
Thanks for the sincere comment. I’m glad you found my blog. I hope you come visit me again.
I’m working on installing “Movable Type” on my webserver for my legal website, so I can move my blog to my own server and more readily categorize my posts.
I have a lot of stuff that I think is right up your alley. But it’s hard to find, since the archives can’t be categorized.
I went to your blog, The Dishpan Chronicles and was very impressed with the depth of your comments, and with how well you write. I also think you have a beautiful template.
See ya again maybe.
