I’ve disliked James Carville as a Democratic spokesman ever since I heard him at a fundraiser about 6 years ago declare that Republicans “love babies until they’re born”. He disgusted me with that kind of rhetoric. At the time, I had already become disgusted with similar rhetoric from Limbaugh and others on the Republican side. We have to try to elevate the discourse somehow. It’s bad for us all when we dumb-down the debate.
